Clock tower

Clock tower

[ July, 2014 ] This clock tower is in the People’s Square (Narodni Trg) in Zadar, Croatia, where there was also our accommodation.

The building was built in the Venetian Era in the 16th century, but the tower was built in the early 19th century.

This is now an ethnographical museum.

The traditional costumes, old tools, jewelleries, a loom and so on were exhibited, thogh there were not too many.

Above all the intricate embroideris of the costumes were gorgeous.

Some of the colours and patterns were a bit similar to the ones from Central Asia.

They should make some souvenirs using these wonderful traditional patterns….
