[ Apr.2015 ] According to our guide book, the town of Polis situated near the west end of Cyprus seemed like a fairly large tourist town.
But when we went there we found it a small quiet town.
Surely there were an area with many restaurants and bars, which were targeting tourists, but there were hardly anyone there.
Some vacant shops were noticeable.
The business did not seem buoyant.
When we walked around the town, we saw a small wedding at one corner of a park.
There were only the couple, two witnesses, someone from the authority and a photographer, but the couple looked very happy.
