Chapel

[ Mar.2014 ] In the site of Windsor Castle, there is a magnificent church called St.George’s Chapel.

Unfortunately, the photography was not allowed here, either.

The decoration of the choir was not as intricate as Toledo cathedral I saw the other day, but still it was gorgeous.

The ceiling was very nice, too.

They started building this church in 1475 and completed in 1528.

The successive kings and queens and their family were buried here, including recent Queen Mother and princess Margaret.

I remember 2 metre sword displayed here, which was wielded by Edward the third in the 14th century.

The audio guide had a high quality, so I enjoyed until the end without getting bored.

By the way, this Windsor Castle is the oldest and the largest in the world as a castle which is still used.
