Chekhov’s house

Chekhov’s house

[ July, 2013 ] On the way back from Mt.Ai-Petri, we stopped at Chehov’s house in Yalta only to look at it from outside.

He built this house at the end of 19th century with various shapes of windows, saying ‘like various characters of people’.

He got fed up with many visitors who came one after another, so made a space for him to stay over night in the kitchen and wrote there, pretending he was away.

After his death, this house was left to his devoted sister, Maria.
