[ Ago.2019 ] Hay un edificio hermoso llamado \u00abPainted Hall\u00bb dentro del Old Royal Naval College en Greenwich,\u00a0<\/strong>al este de Londres, Inglaterra.<\/p>\n

El hall principal<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Cuando visitamos el lugar a principio de a\u00f1o<\/a> estaba cerrado por trabajos de restauraci\u00f3n, pero luego lo reabrieron, as\u00ed que quer\u00eda visitarlo.<\/p>\n

Como vino una amiga de Jap\u00f3n decidimos visitarlo juntos.<\/p>\n

El precio de la entrada fue de \uffe112 (\u20ac14, $15.50), lo que no es barato pero pudimos tener una visita guiada.<\/p>\n

Un gu\u00eda nos explic\u00f3 los murales que estaban por todo el hall.<\/p>\n

Originalmente el edificio se construy\u00f3 como un comedor para los veteranos de guerra pero pronto se convirti\u00f3 en un sal\u00f3n de actos para cualquiera que pagara.<\/p>\n

El pintor era James Thornhill y las pinturas fueron realizadas entre 1707 y 1726.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nombres y cantidades de dinero.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

El artista pintaba teatros y sus pinturas eran 3D, es por eso que fue seleccionado para pintar el hall.<\/p>\n

Aparentemente 200 personas est\u00e1n pintadas y las pinturas muestran los temas de aquella \u00e9poca, como los cambios pol\u00edticos, cient\u00edficos y culturales.<\/p>\n

Antes de subir al hall principal, miramos hacia arriba y vimos nombres con n\u00fameros.<\/p>\n

Eran los nombres de los benefactores con la cantidad de dinero que hab\u00edan aportado.<\/p>\n

El m\u00ednimo eran \uffe1100 que hoy en d\u00eda ser\u00edan al rededor de \uffe17000.<\/p>\n

Una persona de la familia real declar\u00f3 una gran suma de dinero pero luego de pagar solo una parte, dej\u00f3 de pagar y dijo \u00abPerd\u00ed la billetera\u00bb.<\/p>\n

200 personas est\u00e1n pintadas.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

En el hall principal hab\u00eda una pintura mostrando los logros astron\u00f3micos pero el famoso Isaac Newton no estaba incluido por su mal comportamiento.<\/p>\n

Hab\u00eda una pintura de Anne, reina de Reino Unido de la casa Stuart, que rein\u00f3 a principios del siglo 18<\/strong> y el gu\u00eda nos cont\u00f3 que el esposo dan\u00e9s de Anne era una persona muy aburrida.<\/p>\n

Las personas trataron de emborracharlo para ver si cambiaba pero no lo hizo.<\/p>\n

De todas formas Anne se embaraz\u00f3 todos los a\u00f1os, 17 veces en total.<\/p>\n

Pero muchos de esos beb\u00e9s nacieron muertos y ninguno lleg\u00f3 a crecer.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed que tuvieron que encontrar un heredero.<\/p>\n

Buscaron a una persona protestante que tuviera un lazo sangu\u00edneo pero encontraron 54 personas que eran cat\u00f3licas. Finalmente la persona n\u00famero 55, Sophia, era protestante as\u00ed que la l\u00ednea de sucesi\u00f3n se le fue entregada a sus hijos.<\/p>\n

Hab\u00eda una pintura de Sophia y sus hijos pero aparentemente alguien faltaba.<\/p>\n

El gu\u00eda se\u00f1al\u00f3 la parte de abajo de la pintura diciendo \u00abEsa mano debajo de al alfombra puede ser la persona que est\u00e1 faltando\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Hab\u00eda un autorretrato de James Thornhill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan nuestro gu\u00eda, el artista no hab\u00eda hecho mucho dinero pintando el hall pero como su trabajo fue tan lindo, tuvo otros trabajos como puntar la catedral de St. Paul.<\/p>\n

En el hall central hab\u00edan bancos alargados para que la gente se pudiera acostar y apreciar las pinturas del techo.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Una idea interesante, \u00bfno?<\/p>\n

Yo me hab\u00eda imaginado que \u00abPainted Hall\u00bb era algo similar al \u00abAntiquarium\u00bb, Residenz, Munich<\/a>, pero comparado con ese, el hall era mucho mas simple.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo gracias a las historias constadas por el gu\u00eda, disfrutamos mucho de este lugar.<\/p>\n
