[Junio \u200b\u200bde 2021] En el segundo d\u00eda de nuestra estad\u00eda en Edimburgo, Escocia,<\/a> fuimos a un restaurante llamado ‘Witchery by the Castle’ por la noche.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reservamos la mesa hace mucho tiempo.<\/p>\n

Eso es porque una de las \u00abcosas que hacer con seis meses de anticipaci\u00f3n\u00bb en la secci\u00f3n \u00abAntes de viajar\u00bb de la gu\u00eda de Edimburgo que compramos fue reservar este restaurante.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Algunas de las escenas nos parec\u00edan familiares<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ten\u00edamos que ir a un restaurante tan popular, \u00bfno?<\/p>\n

Estaba a 30 minutos a pie de Airbnb donde nos hospedamos.<\/p>\n

Es una distancia considerable, pero tambi\u00e9n disfrutamos paseando por la ciudad.<\/p>\n

Afortunadamente, el clima era agradable y c\u00e1lido.<\/p>\n

Algunos de los lugares por los que caminamos nos eran familiares y dijimos: \u00abAh. Hemos estado en este caf\u00e9 antes\u00bb, \u00abAqu\u00ed es donde caminamos con nuestros amigos la \u00faltima vez\u00bb, \u00abAh\u00ed es donde una persona se suicid\u00f3 en un drama. \u00bb y as\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Una vez en el centro del pueblo y colina arriba, llegamos a la Royal Mile<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0calle principal del casco antiguo que conduce al castillo.<\/p>\n

Como sugiere el nombre, el restaurante ‘Witchery by the Castle’ se encuentra en el barrio del Castillo de Edimburgo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Era la casa de un comerciante construida en 1595, y estaba al lado de un museo y una tienda llamada The Scotch Whisky Experience, donde hab\u00edamos comprado mucho whisky cuando llegamos antes.<\/p>\n

La entrada del restaurante era un callej\u00f3n estrecho y cuando dijimos su nombre, nos guiaron a una m\u00e1quina de medir la temperatura corporal.<\/p>\n

Cuando acerqu\u00e9 mi cara a la m\u00e1quina, me dijo mi temperatura, que era de 36 grados, as\u00ed que estaba bien para pasar.<\/p>\n

Cuando bajamos las escaleras m\u00e1s abajo, encontramos el comedor.<\/p>\n

A diferencia de la habitaci\u00f3n con una profunda impresi\u00f3n que se ve en su sitio web, el espacio era como una habitaci\u00f3n con terraza.<\/p>\n

No es tan grandioso, pero el ambiente era encantador.<\/p>\n

Quiz\u00e1s era una habitaci\u00f3n llamada Secret Garden.<\/p>\n

Nos guiaron hasta la mesa y le\u00edmos el men\u00fa con el c\u00f3digo QR.<\/p>\n

Fue un poco de mal gusto, pero no se pudo evitar debido a la situaci\u00f3n de Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Mi plato de entrada era una mezcla de tomates, sand\u00edas y algo llamado burrata panna cotta.<\/p>\n

Eleg\u00ed esta porque me atra\u00eda la Burrata Panna Cotta, pero me decepcion\u00f3 porque era muy peque\u00f1a, de unos 5 cm de di\u00e1metro.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, tanto los tomates como las sand\u00edas eran dulces y deliciosos.<\/p>\n

Me impresion\u00f3 particularmente la forma en que usaban la sand\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Mi marido eligi\u00f3 una especialidad escocesa, haggis.<\/p>\n

Esta fue tambi\u00e9n una peque\u00f1a cantidad elegante, pero el haggis picante y rico fue perfecto con esta cantidad.<\/p>\n

Para el plato principal, eleg\u00ed cordero y mi esposo eligi\u00f3 venado (Red Deer).<\/p>\n

Ambos fueron asados \u200b\u200ba la parrilla y deliciosos.<\/p>\n

En mi plato hab\u00eda una tarta peque\u00f1a con guisantes y trozos de carne como guarnici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Hab\u00eda pepino en rodajas finas.<\/p>\n

Fue bastante elaborado.<\/p>\n

Deliciosa carne de ciervo a la parrilla<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

La guarnici\u00f3n de mi marido eran alb\u00f3ndigas de espinacas (probablemente) rellenas de verduras.<\/p>\n

De postre, compart\u00ed un plato llamado Pudding Selection con mi esposo, que eran 4 tipos de dulces como milhojas y sorbete.<\/p>\n

Ninguno de ellos era demasiado dulce y ten\u00eda un sabor elegante.<\/p>\n

En cuanto al vino, no ten\u00edan el Malbec que pedimos, as\u00ed que tomamos una botella de Montepulciano.<\/p>\n

El postre delicioso<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Con lo anterior, la factura era un poco menos de \u00a3 160.<\/p>\n

Teniendo en cuenta el ambiente y lo elaborado de la comida, era un precio razonable.<\/p>\n

Por supuesto, en Italia, el pan que se sirve gratis en todas partes cuesta alrededor de \u00a3 4 en el Reino Unido.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ciertamente parec\u00eda ser un restaurante popular, y tan pronto como un grupo de clientes terminaba, entraban las siguientes personas.<\/p>\n

Todo el mundo estaba un poco arreglado y eso era encantador.<\/p>\n

Quedamos muy satisfechos y salimos del restaurante.<\/p>\n

Agradec\u00ed que todav\u00eda hab\u00eda mucha luz afuera esta temporada, pero la temperatura hab\u00eda bajado completamente y el viento fr\u00edo era escalofriante.<\/p>\n

Envolv\u00ed la pashmina que traje conmigo por si acaso, cerr\u00e9 el cierre de mi chaqueta y camin\u00e9 r\u00e1pidamente.<\/p>\n

Pero las j\u00f3venes locales iban descalzas en minifalda.<\/p>\n

Obviamente, sentimos la temperatura significativamente diferente.<\/p>\n
