Mosta is one of Malta's best-known towns and an essential stop for anyone exploring the island's rich cultural and religious heritage. The town's main landmark is the impressive Mosta Rotunda<\/strong>, officially dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Built during the nineteenth century and inspired by Rome's Pantheon, it is admired for its extraordinary dome and elegant neoclassical architecture.<\/p>\r\n

The church is also famous for the remarkable event that occurred during the Second World War<\/strong>, when an aerial bomb pierced the dome during a religious service but failed to explode. A replica of the bomb is displayed inside the church, commemorating what many locals regard as a miracle.<\/p>\r\n

Walking through the town centre, visitors will discover traditional Maltese architecture, lively caf\u00e9s and local restaurants. From Mosta it is easy to reach nearby destinations such as Mdina<\/strong>, Rabat<\/strong>, San Anton Gardens<\/strong> and many other attractions across the island.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
