Colours of Sighisoara

Colours of Sighisoara

[ Apr.2014 ] Sighisoara in Romania is a very pretty town, listed in the World Heritage of Unisco.

The model of Dracula, Vlad the third was born here.

The yellow house near the clock tower which is the symbol of the town is his birth house and it is a restaurant now.

When I visited this town first time 9 years ago, we had a dinner here.

This time we bought a house model in the shop occupying a part of this house.

Unfortunately it was rainy and the colourful houses looked not so bright, but still I felt the colours of houses were stronger than 9 years ago.

In fact, after coming back home, I compared with my old photos and found that many houses re-painted their houses with stronger colours.

We went up the clock tower built in 1556, which had been closed last time.

This town was developed by German craftsmen and there were a lot of old handiwork exhibited there.

The towers along the city wall has got names like “tower of shoe makers”, “tower of weavers” and so on.
