Village without divorces

Village without divorces

[ Apr.2014 ] Biertan in Romania is listed as a World Heritage because of its fortified church, though it did not look very prosperous.

It was a rainy day and the village was wet and very beautiful.

For me, this is one of the most favourite places in our trip in Romania this time.

The interesting thing here is the story about divorce.

In this village in the past, when a couple wanted to have a divorce, they had to go in one room with one table, one bed, one spoon, etc.

for about two weeks.

During the time usually they reconciled and gave up the divorce, so within 400 years, there was only one  case of the divorce there.

I like the fact that there was one anyway.

I wonder if we do the same now, cut out from the outside world, taking their mobile phones away, what would happen?
