Chairs to keep the place

[Dec.2012] This photo was taken just outside of Longshan Temple in Taipei.

These chairs look like the ones we use in a bath in Japan.

They did not look new or did not look being sold, or there was no one around to control them.

I could not tell what they were for, but next day, our guide, Miss Sia told me that the worshippers who want to enter the Longshan Temple at the end of the year or the new year place these chairs so that they can keep their turn.

Taiwanese are so religious! According to my guidebook, in Taiwan, more its economy develops, more people become religious, opposite of many countries.

The number of Buddhist now is the highest in the history apparently.
