Omodos
Nestled among the vineyards of the Troodos Mountains, Omodos is one of Cyprus’s most picturesque and traditional villages. Located within Cyprus’s principal wine-producing region, the village is surrounded by vineyards that produce some of the country’s finest wines, including the famous Commandaria, often regarded as the world’s oldest named wine still in production. Beyond the village, scenic walking routes pass through vineyards and forested hills, offering magnificent views across the Troodos Mountains. Spring brings colourful wildflowers, while autumn transforms the vineyards during the grape harvest, making both seasons especially rewarding for visitors.
