Getting around

Renting a car is the best way to explore the island freely. The road network is well developed and makes it easy to reach beaches, cities, archaeological sites and traditional inland villages.

Traditional food

Cypriot cuisine combines Greek, Turkish and Middle Eastern influences. Among the best-known specialities are meze, halloumi, souvlaki, stifado, fresh seafood and a wide variety of traditional desserts. Food is an essential part of the island’s cultural identity.
