Located at the foot of the Little Carpathian Mountains, just a short drive from Bratislava, Pezinok is one of Slovakia’s most important wine towns. Autumn is particularly popular, as vineyards turn golden and the annual Grape Harvest Festival fills the streets with music, traditional costumes, local food and wine celebrations.
Historic landmarks add further interest to any visit. Pezinok Castle, now operating as a luxury hotel, dominates one side of the town, while the Small Carpathian Museum introduces visitors to the history of regional winemaking through interactive exhibitions and underground cellars.
