Walking through historic towns, visiting medieval castles, exploring lakeside landscapes and discovering small rural villages allowed us to experience a country that remains largely untouched by mass tourism. The warmth of the local people, the well-preserved historical heritage and the peaceful atmosphere make Lithuania an ideal destination for travellers seeking a more authentic side of Europe.
