[September, 2011] We stayed in Hotel Dnipro in Kiev.
Our travel agent had recommended to stay in Junior Suite Room rather than the Standard Room, because the standard in this country is somewhat lower than usual.
Well, I could see that.
According to our guide book, this hotel was the only one that foreigners could stay in Kiev in Soviet Era, and in our room the furniture was as old as that time and looked cheap.
The staff’s attitude was like Soviet, too.
They might be thinking that if they greet to the guests or show their smile, they would get some kind of fine from the authority.
By the way, Donipro is the name of the river in Kiev, the same one as that we had earned as Dnieper at school.
