[August 2012] We went to a restaurant which was introduced by a friend who goes there often for work.
The famous Turkish foods are kebabs and pide (Turkish pizza) and we often ate them during the tour, but here in this restaurant, the menu are totally different.
They serve dishes eaten in Ottoman era.
When you look at their menu, you will find the year next to the dish.
I chose a veal dish for the main, which was very good but the taste was quite different from anything else, a bit sweet.
Only problems are its location which is far from the centre of Istanbul.
Also, because it was summer the tables were out in the garden and some cats climbed up to the tables.
I should have had my dinner inside really…
Oh, the name of this restaurant is Asitane.
