[February, 2011] We had one day trip to Switzerland from Italy.
I felt I need some sort of psychological preparation for going over the border, but I did not need it.
There was no passport check, maybe because it was Sunday…? The town of Lugano was very quiet as shops were all closed and the weather was not very nice.
Only around the lake, it was a little bit of life because a bicycle race was going on.
Switzerland is famous for its high cost of living and on top of that at the moment, the level of Franc is very high.
So I should say that it was fortunate that all shops were closed.
