The oldest town in Denmark

The oldest town in Denmark

[July 2012] The first destination in Denmark was Ribe, the oldest town in Denmark.

To be precise, it means the oldest well-preserved town.

Wherever you look, it is a pretty picture in this town.

It is quite strange thinking that the offspring of Vikings whom we have an image of rough people built this pretty town.

It does not match.

But in the local leaflet they say that Vikings were actually gentle peasants and the rough image was created by other Christian countries.

It may be so, as histories are totally different depending on where you stand.
