[ Apr.2015 ] Our friends took us to an indoor antique market in London.
It is called Alfie Antique Market.
Mr. Bennie Gray opened this in 1976 and about 100 antique dealers are trading here.
It is the largest antique arcade in the UK.
The name Alfie is Mr.Gray’s father, though he was not an antique dealer.
There were various things being sold, such as furniture, clothes, accessories and so on.
It was like a maze.
It is not a flea market and the goods sold here seemed to be serious antiques and are expensive.
But it was very interesting to look around.
There is a rooftop cafe and we had a bottle of beer there.
It was nice and refreshing there and they said that some people come only to the cafe.
This market is located in the centre in London, but many of the people living around here are Arabs.
We passed by some women wearing proper Niqabs, a black cloth which covers the face, apart from the eyes.
