[ Oct.2015 ] Mariacka Street in Gdansk in Poland is a very beautiful street.
We learned during the walking tour that when they tried to rebuild the city after WW2, they put this street before anywhere else and they used everything beautiful that was not damaged by the war.
The sculptures in the shape of animal faces, which are used for the drains, are a special feature here.
There are many amber shops here, too.
According to the guide, Magda, “If you want to buy amber accessories, here is a good place because they give you the certificate”.
I bought one ring in a shop on this street.
The designer herself told us that the intricate metal work surrounding the amber itself is inspired by the pattern of the walls of this street.
