[December, 2011] In Alentejo in Portugal, it was not easy to travel around by public transport, so we joined a tour.
The first destination was Evoramonte, where they have a castle on top of a mountain.
The trees around the wall are cork trees.
I did not know but you can take cork from a cork tree only once in 9 years.
They sell a lot of souvenirs made of cork around here and I bought some.
I should treasure them.
