[Dec.2012] On the day we arrived in Taiwan, I asked our guide for a good Taiwanese restaurant.
She recommended Shin Yeh, which apparently has a branch in Japan, too.
I checked my guide book and it was listed in the book, too, so I went there by taxi.
The crab rice meal and Almond Pudding whose texture was a bit different from the ones I am used to were very good.
But the room was cold as the air conditioning was too high and the staff was in rather slipshod manner, which was a shame.
The customers were mostly Japanese.
I learned afterwards that there is a branch on the 85th floor of Taipei 101 skyscraper, and the view is breathtaking.
