[September, 2011] We went to Kiev in Ukraine for the first time.
It is a beautiful city with the golden onion shaped domes with the very blue sky on the back ground.
On the other hand, it is also very Eastern Block type of city.
You can see that with this building of Ukraine Hotel, can’t you.
Not only the buildings, but also peoples’ clothes and attitude reminded me of communist countries.
It was more so than Bulgaria or Macedonia where we visited recently.
To get from one place to another was quite difficult on foot, though it looked a short distance on the map, which is also like Moscow.
