[Oct.2012] We went to a restaurant called Al Conte Ugolino in Milan, not too far from the Duomo.
It was founded in 1935.
The interior was not so much different from others, but the customers looked rather posh.
They were those who eat with company money.
First they served Polenta with Bolognese source as an hors d’oeuvre.
We asked for a glass of wine, but the waiter brought one bottle and after poring in our glasses, he put the bottle on the table.
Basically he wanted to say ‘see what happens’.
I chose veal with courgette source, which was refined subtle taste.
Interesting thing was with coffee, they served roasted chestnut instead of chocolate.
In the end, the bill was not so posh.
We may come back to this one in the future.
