[ Dec.2015 ] We went to a restaurant called Casa Valdes in Puerto Varas in the lake district in Chile.
This restaurant is supposed to be the best in the town for seafood.
The location was nice and we could see the lake.
We ate squid and prawns for the starter and salmon for the main.
Apparently there are world famous salmon farms around here.
I eat salmon dishes in England, too, but I usually feel that they are too fatty and too heavy for me, but the one we ate here was nice and lighter and the meat was firm.
Including the dessert, I was very satisfied with the meal.
The staff were nice and friendly, too.
The mineral water was from the Andes, by the way.
