[ Sept.2013 ] They were organising open air concerts by local artists every night at the garden of the Venecian Palace in Naxos.
Some days were jazz and other days were classic, but the day we went was the concert of the local traditional music and dance.
One played a bagpipe, which has been here for 5000 years.
Also we listened to the music played with a string called Lauto and violin.
4 dancers danced their traditional dances.
On top of that, we could drink the local wines and liqueurs as much as we wanted.
The host said ” One time we were asked for Coke, but we do not produce Coke here in Naxos”.
We clearly felt his pride and desire to make people know about the traditional culture and industry of Naxos.
