[December, 2011] There was a big earthquake in Lisbon, too.

It was in 1755.

Here at the Placa do Comercio square, apparently there used to be a palace.

According to the audio guide, to quickly reconstruct  this area which was badly damaged, they built grid type roads and the houses using the same size stones.
