[ Mar.2015 ] The last destination of our tour in the Troodos Mountains in Cyprus was Omodos village.
This village is famous for its wine, bread, nuts and sweets.
After they took us to a sweet shop, we had some free time.
In the shop we saw something like mincemeat or salami, but in fact it was a kind of sweet, which is made from wine and honey.
There is the Monastery of Holy Cross in the village.
In the church of the monastery, there is a piece of rope displayed which was used in real life to tie Christ’s hand to the cross.
Although taking photos was not allowed, I took one secretly by mobile.
In Cyprus, it seems that there are so many churches or monasteries with some memorable holy pieces.
It must be very attractive for the believers.
The village itself was relaxing and touristy.
It was still off-season on the day we visited at the end of March and some of the shops were closed.
It must be very lively in summer here.
