[ Jan.2016 ] The first thing I noticed in Paraty, Brazil at night was the vendors selling sweets such as egg tart pastries and creme caramels.
The ground was paved very roughly and very difficult to walk on it.
There were many people hanging around.
It had the atmosphere of the summer holidays.
We went to a restaurant called Casa do Fago which was booked by our tour leader.
This was the restaurant specialised in Flambe.
There were musicians there and mood was very good, but it was too dark.
I could not see what I was eating really.
My main dish was supposed to be fish and my husband’s was octopus.
The taste was not familiar, so I wondered if it was the mild version of the traditional cooking of the people.
At the next table, there was a family who looked Oriental, but they did not look who came all the way from Asia.
I wondered if they were the Japanese immigrants living in Brazil.
