[ Sept.2006 ] The highlight of our stay in Delhi was the rickshaw ride.
This was real transport system for people living there, not like in Japan where rickshaws are for tourists.
They pulled it by bicycle.
We went through a narrow street of a cloth market.
There were many small shops on the both side, the electric wires were everywhere, and shop signs piled up.
Whithin this environment, there were great many people filling up any of the tiny spaces.
My rickshaw driver drove through here skillfully without bumping anything.
In bigger streets, it was very thrilling as the cars and buses went just next to me who was sitting on the poor little cart.
It was a miracle that there were no accidents …
well, maybe accidents often happen there.
