[Dec.2012] When I reported to my friend in Tokyo that we did not go into National Palace Museum in Taipei, she was shocked.
Well, our group tour went just in front of it and we only took some photos of it.
Here the treasures from mainland China which were brought by Chang Kai-shek are exhibited, luckily escaped from Great Cultural Revolution in China.
Especially the napa cabbage made of jade is supposed to be worth seeing.
They change the exhibits of documents every three months, so it takes 5 years to look at everything there, according to our guide, Miss Sia.
But according to my guide book, it takes 8 years.
Can anyone try to see which one is correct?
Anyway, it is said that this museum is one of the world top 4 museums.
I was curious to know which ones are the other three.
Apparently, they are Hermitage in Russia, Louvre in France and Metropolitan in USA.
So not British Museum, then.
I just remembered that I did not go to Hermitage, either, when I went to St.Petersburg.
