[ May, 2014 ] There is a solid castle called Castle Rushen in Castletown in Isle of Man.
It was built by a Viking king and then changed hands between England and Scotland repeatedly.
Then because of the firmness of the castle whose walls are 2 metres thick, it was used as a prison from the end of 18th century to the end of 19th century.
There used to be the execution site.
So the atmosphere of some parts of the castle was very dark and heavy.
There are other parts that the rooms of the medieval castle were reproduced and there were some life size dolls.
And that was again a bit scary, too.
This castle is apparently open to public from Easter time to October.
Wedding parties are sometimes held here.
