[ Feb.2016 ] After visiting the Silk Exchange in Valencia in Spain, we tried to get to the Cathedral.
There were many gorgeous churches on the way, but the cathedral was really magnificent.
They built this after Reconquista, demolishing the original Visigoth cathedral which was used as a mosque during the Islamic rule.
The reason why this cathedral is famous is that they have a chalice which could be the Holy Grail.
This chalice was made in the 1st century and many historical priests such as the Pope in the recent years used this chalice.
There was a chapel with the paintings of Goya as well.
It is a lovely cathedral, but it was rather plain compared with the one in Toredo, for example.
And that is because they hurried to build it to show that this is a Christian territory after Reconquista and also this was not built by a king, but by the local bougeoisie apparently.
