[ Feb.2015 ] We walked along the river Po in Turin in Italy for a while.
There was a notice at the end of Ponte Vittorio Emanuele 1 and according to that, they built a port around here using buttresses of the city wall in 1834.
In 1840, the first passenger boat to Venice was launched here.
Apparently it took 30 hours to get to Venice and on the way back it took nearly 60 hours.
It said that now this area is the heart of night life in Turin, but all we could see was a lot of graffiti and it looked shabby.
I wondered if it would be really bustled with many people here at night, or the notice itself has become something of the past?
