2014 ] Trieste in Italy is famous for the strong wind.
This wind is called Bora and usually comes from north in winter.
When it is bad, Bora blows as much as 150km apparently.
Therefore, on the wall of houses along roads, there are railings so that people can hold on to them not to get blown away.
The railings we saw were along a slope, so I used them for going up the slope, though there was not Bora on the day.
But the next day, when the weather was bad, the hotel receptionist said ” there is a bit of Bora, so the boat may not run tomorrow”.
So I experienced Bora without knowing it.
Great!
