[ Aug.2015 ] We went into a lovely cafe in the park in the centre of Helsinki, only because we needed to go to the toilet.
The cafe was stylish and the atmosphere was very nice.
I did not check the name, but the location suggests that it was Kappeli (meaning Chapel).
It is a historical restaurant, opened in 1840 and it is the best location in the city.
Nevertheless, isn’t 8 euros too expensive for a bottle of orange juice and a macchiato? And it was self-service!
Not only in this shop, but generally, things were expensive in Helsinki.
I was looking forward to visiting one accessory shop listed in our guide book, but I found that the goods there were too expensive for what they were, so I did not buy any.
A light lunch, one main and one drink, costs at least 30 euros.
We were lucky, because at the time, the euro happened to be weak, but if the euro was stronger like normal, we could not have enjoyed this holiday as much.
