[June 2012] When we went to see Hadrian’s Wall, we visited Roman Army Museum.
What I learned there was that Mr.Hadrian was a gay.
He had a wife, but he loved Antinous, a Greek boy so much that when the boy drowned to death, Hadrian got a depression.
I also learned he was originally from Spain, which is interesting, because it means that Romans were open minded to other people than their own tribes.
Apparently, the people in the land occupied by Romans could have a same right as Romans after working for Roman Army for 25 yeas, not only himself but his offspring, too.
Well, 25 years is a long time, though…
