The theatre waiting for renovation

[june 2012] Morecambe, a north England seaside town used be a famous holiday destination in Victorian Era, where a lot of fashionable people gathered.

This Victoria Pavilion Theatre was build during that time in 1897.

It must have been filled with those people.

But the time passed, and this theatre which changed name to Winter Gardens, gradually went out of fashion and in 1977 it was closed.

The building itself is listed and in 1986 a charity was founded to restore this theatre.

They are trying to renovate here slowly.

On the day we visited, they were using this space as a local craft fair.
