[ May, 2014 ] In the centre of this bench, you can see the symbol of Isle of Man.
Three legs are linked in the centre and turning counterclockwise.
People in the island seem to be proud of this symbol and I saw it many places, for example, on every street lamp or number plate of cars.
But apparently this symbol is originally not from Isle of Man, but from ancient Greece.
I want to know the meaning of the legs, but I could not find it.
I saw a very similar one in Sicily in Italy, though the one in Sicily has got a face in the centre(like this).
It says that they use a similar symbol in Brittany in France and Fussen in Germany, though I have not seen them.
