Cross over to an island by this bus

[July 2012] On the last day of my stay in Ribe, Denmark, I had an excursion to an island called Mando.

This is about 10 km away from the town and you go there by a bus pulled by a tractor.

You can cross only when the tide is low.

The island itself is flat and I could not see anything special other than a vast view of the nature, but the journey was very interesting.

On the way back, the tide was already coming in and literally the bus ran in the sea.

The passengers were all tourists from north European countries and most of them were pretty old, but they got very excited and walked around the bus to take a good photo.
