[ July, 2014 ] We stayed in an accommodation called Central Apartments in Zadar in Croatia.
This is not a hotel, but a flat.
When we arrived outside of the city wall by bus from the airport, we called them, then Karlo, the young mamager came to pick us up.
This company has got 12 flats in the old town.
Karlo explained their concept eagerly, saying that they wanted to welcome tourists as neighbours.
The headquarters is a risotto specialised restaurant ( we tried once and the resotto was excellent) where we checked in and out and had the breakfast, too.
Our flat was an attic of a 19th century building facing the Narodni Trg (People’s Square).
As you can see from the photo, the interior was colourful and tidy.
This building seemed an office block which included a newspaper company.
It was not very easy to go up and down the 64 half broken steps, but I felt as if we were living there a bit, which was very interesting.
