[ Sept.2013 ] in Prague you can go up to the top of the tower of Old Town Hall, the one which has got the famous Astronomical Clock on its wall.
The height is about 60m and great thing is that there is a lift to go up there.
But it was a hard work to get on the lift, because sooooooo many people were there waiting for their turn.
When finally we got on the lift, a group of Italian women came in with us, who were queuing some distance behind.
We were puzzled, then one of them said ” I told the staff that we were with you.
You don’t mind, do you?”.
Well, you need this much of boldness, otherwise the waiting time is eternal.
Where we arrived was very crowded, too.
It was just 12 o’clock.
As we were up there, we could not see the move of the famous mechanical clock, but we heard the trumpet closely.
Every hour, he plays the trumpet four times to four directions to tell the time.
After that, at last we could enjoy the wonderful view of Prague city.
On the way back, at the space in front of the lift, he was practicing the trumpet.
Although his performance is short, he plays for the general public, so making mistakes is not allowed, is it.
