[March, 2012] The second winery I visited on the day when I went to Langhe in Piedmont in Italy was called Gertotto.
The first one was keen on trading abroad, but this one was more local trader.
The main customers are the local restaurants.
Three brothers are running the business following their father.
They are producing hazelnuts as well and selling them to ice cream makers.
In spring and autumn they welcome tourist buses.
At the moment they accept only cash, but because of the policy of prime minister Monti, the cash trading has become more difficult, so they are going to accept credit card soon.
From this topic the conversation developed to a bit of politics and we enjoyed the tasting.
