[ July, 2014 ] This is the Medieval Garden in Sibenik in Croatia.
It is a garden of St.Lawrence’s Monastery.
This garden was abandoned for about 100 years, but in 2007 they reconstructed it and opened to public.
My guide book says that the designer for this project was Dragutin Kis, who was awarded a prize in Japan in 2000.
it must have been some event during the Japan Flora 2000 in Awaji Island.
I do not know anything about gardens, so I could not see what the speciality was in this garden, but I was happy to see a flower which could have been the model of the pendant I bought in Basque in Spain last May.
A woman was sitting on a corner and she asked us for the donation.
When we gave a small amount of money, she gave us a leaflet, but unfortunately it was written only in Croatian language.
