[ Mar.2015 ] There is a ruin of Roman theatre on the fringe of St Albans, a town north of London.
This theatre was built around 140AD and it is only example of its kind, which is not an amphitheatre, in Britain.
They think that people used the arena for anything from religious processions, dancing, wrestling and so on.
They expanded the venue from around year 180 and by 300AD, the theatre could seat 2000 people.
This ruin was discovered in 1847 and the excavation work has found that there were shops, villas and temples around there and all of them are dated from the 1st century.
This ruin seemed to belong to some individuals and we had to pay 2.50 pounds to see it.
