[ Mar.2015 ] We spent our Easter holiday in Paphos in Cyprus this year.
This was my first visit to this country.
It is a small island country whose size is about a half of Shikoku in Japan and apparently the third largest Mediterranean island behind Sicily and Sardinia.
The first thing I was surprised was that the long queue made by tourists from Moscow in the airport.
That reminded me of Cyprus crisis in 2013 in which Russian deposits in Cyprus was focused.
When we got on the local bus at the airport, I noticed all the notices were written in English and Russian.
It is understandable that English is all over the place as this country was a British territory for a long time similar to Malta, but in fact some of the notices were written only in Russian.
And the outside of the bus is like this as you can see in the photo.
The bus was wrapped up by the adverts to invite foreigners to invest in their property.
In the town, too, there were many many adverts written in Russian and Chinese.
Where have I come? — that was my first impression of Cyprus.
