[ July, 2013 ] Japanese tourists used to be famous for their photo taking, but Ukrainians and Russians who visit Crimea like taking photos a lot.
Not only they snap in front of some monuments, but taking photos with animals is the Ukrainian trend.
Quite many people who carry monkeys or white doves which cannot fly are around and they approach tourists and ask if they want to take photos with the animals.
I have a mental block about this kind of things, so tried moving away quickly not looking at them.
If they do this business in the UK or somewhere, they may get arrested as animal abusers, I think.
They also like photos wearing costumes.
There were a lot of shops to offer this service with costumes like 18th century aristocrats as well as the ones like Hells Angels.
People seemed to prefer sexy styles there.
By the way, when we went to Kiev, their capital, two years ago, I felt people’s clothing was somewhat different from ours.
It was more Soviet style there, but here in Crimea, I did not feel that at all.
