[ July, 2014 ] According to my guide book, there are many women who knit lace and sell their products on the streets.
It says ‘Buy one or two pieces which would help them sustaining their craft’, so we looked for the vendors.
There were a few, but not many.
This woman on the photo was selling her lace in front of her house where not so many people came.
It was not as intricate as the linen lace in the museum, but still very elaborate.
I could not understand fully, but she seemed to be expaining that making the bigger holes was more difficult.
We bought three pieces from her and asked her name just for our memory, but it took quite a long time for her to get whar we were asking.
When she understood, she looked very happy and told us “Kate”.
