[February, 2012] We went up to the city gate called Torri di Porta Soprana build in mid 12th century in Genoa in Italy.
In the old part of Genoa, there are a lot of very narrow alleys between old tall buildings.
You can see the reason from here.
They do not have much flat lands here, so the buildings had to expand upwards.
This is really a hilly city and there are many tunnels in the middle of the town.
