The symbol of a rearing horse

The symbol of a rearing horse

[ Feb.

2015 ] Lugo is a town in Emilia Romagna in Italy and it is famous as Francesco Baracca’s birth place.

If you know him, you must be an expert about Italy or WW1.

I did not know him at all, but apparently, he was the Flying Ace of the Italian Air Force during the WW1.

There is his momument and a museum in this town.

Even if you do not know him, somewhat you may recognise the horse carved on the momument.

This symbol was on his fighter plane, but later, his parents offered Enzo Ferrari saying ” Would  you like to use this lucky rearing horse on your car?”.

So this has been used as the symbol of Ferrari.

Really we learn a lot of things when we travel…
